Archibald was the son of Lachlan McKinnon and Flora or Mary and was born in Sleat 1809.

Mary McInnes was born 1811 Drumfern Inverness, the daughter of Neil McInnes and Catherine McPherson.

Marriage

They married 25th Dec 1833 in Sleat and migrated to Australia.

The McKinnons were Highland and Island Emigration Society emigrants and came out to Australia on a nightmare boat, the Araminta.
